In a recent video, singers Rotimi and Tiwa Savage claimed they are cousins and therefore related by blood. As he disclosed they kept it a secret, Rotimi released a video of himself and the Nigerian Afrobeat diva. Additionally, he alluded to a brand-new song they are writing together, which elicited emotions from their followers. 





Rotimi, a Nigerian-American musician, and actor, recently teamed up with Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage publicly as it is obvious they would have been communicating before now. The public display then came with an unknowable surprise. Rotimi claimed Tiwa is his blood cousin in a video he posted on his Instagram page, saying they have been keeping the fact a secret for a very long time. 





In the video, he said excitedly, "Listen I have a surprise for you. You never guess who my real blood cousin is, do you? Now is the time to paint this lovely queen". In the video, Tiwa Savage responded to Rotimi's claim by confirming it. She said: "This is Tiwa, aka African Bad gyal, aka Mama Jamjam, aka Rotimi's real cousin." The pair also suggested that they are working on a joint project. Rotimi shared the video and added the caption, "We've been keeping this a secret for so long!!! sharing the vibes with everyone, so joyful!"







It won't be out of place to say music does run in the family I guess. I can't wait to get a feel of what it is they are cooking together. Did this come as a surprise to you too?
